Best cold-pressed juicer for ginger, turmeric, beets, and carrots?

I’ve been searching for a good juicer for a while. I’ve tried several, including Philips and Omega, but they all ended up clogging, especially when making ginger shots.

I mainly want to juice ginger, turmeric, beets, and carrots. I’ve had my eye on a Nama juicer for a long time, but it’s expensive, and I’m not sure if it’s worth it.

Anyone have recommendations? What works best for these ingredients?

I’ve had my Nama J2 for almost five years and still love it. The biggest downside of juicing is cleanup, and I’ve had 2-3 juicers before this one—Nama is by far the easiest to clean. It’s not instant, but it’s way better than the cheaper ones. The juice quality is great, and the large container fits a ton of produce, so it’s convenient.

Also, I accidentally dropped mine from the top of my fridge, and it still works. Definitely recommend!

I have the Sana 878, which is basically the same as the Nama J2 and Hurom 320. They’re all made in the same factory in Korea. They’re pricey, but the warranties are great. I’ve used several juicers, including commercial ones in a café, and this is my favorite so far.

Nama J2—totally worth it.

I have the Ninja Cold Press, and it works great.

I really want the Goodnature Hummingbird and the Angel juicer.

Those are like the Rolls-Royce and Bentley of juicers!

I got the Nama J2 on a Black Friday deal, and so far, it’s been amazing. It comes with a 15-year warranty, and I’ve only heard good things about their customer service.

How much did you pay for it? I’m trying to decide whether to buy now or wait for another sale.

@Teo
I paid 813 CAD, including the pulp strainer, taxes, and shipping. Didn’t have to pay any duty fees either.

Nama is great. Love mine!

Everyone either recommends the Nama J2 or something that costs $500.

If you want true cold press juice without spending thousands, I highly recommend the People’s / Welles hydraulic press. I got it on Amazon for around $270 (almost $300 after taxes). You do need something to blend or grind your produce first—I use my Vitamix—then press it through this manual hydraulic press for true cold-pressed juice. Auger-style machines aren’t as efficient as a press. If you want an electric press, you’re looking at something in the thousands, like the Pure Juicer or Goodnature models.

There are so many options, and most people will just recommend what they own. I’d suggest doing a lot of research and watching unbiased comparison videos. That’s how I decided on the Hurom H400. I considered all the top models, but after hours of comparisons, this one seemed like the best fit for me.

I have a Tuumist from Amazon. It’s great—easy to use and clean.

Really happy with my Nama J2!

Nama J2. It’s worth it, and they have great customer service.

I have the Omega MM1500BL, and it works well for ginger and turmeric shots.

The downside? Parts break often, and getting replacements under warranty is a hassle. It’s actually easier to just buy them instead of dealing with customer service.

That said, I’ve heard great things about Nama juicers.

Like others have said, get the Nama. It’s expensive but totally worth it. The juice yield is great, and it handles everything well.

I have a Breville, and it’s been amazing. I juice every other day, and it’s held up great.
