Juicing every day has become a challenge now that I have two kids. Prepping, juicing, and cleaning up takes more time than I can manage right now. Ideally, I’d like to juice twice a week and have my green juice last for 3–4 days, but mine never stays fresh that long.
I got a mason jar vacuum sealer for Christmas, so I’m wondering—if I add lemon, vacuum seal right away, and store the jars in the back of the fridge, would that help keep it fresh longer?
I’d be sealing them in single servings so they wouldn’t be opened until I’m ready to drink. Vegetables are expensive, so I’d rather ask before testing it out. Has anyone tried this?

Try involving the kids! Even if they don’t drink it, they might enjoy helping out.
My toddler loves helping, and it’s fun for her. The issue is my 6-month-old has medical issues, and we’re in and out of doctors’ offices and hospitals. I need a solution that works better for me right now.
I have two kids and juice every morning. The Hurom H400 has been a game-changer. I can juice and clean up in under 5 minutes. Before that, I had a mesh juicer, and it was such a hassle that I only juiced on weekends.

No problem! I got these jars on Amazon, and they’ve worked great: umud Juice Bottles with Lids, 16oz. Now you’ll have more time instead of cleaning constantly.

I haven’t tried vacuum sealing, but it sounds like a good experiment. Freezing could also be an option.
I prep ingredients in bulk—ginger goes into ice cube trays, and I partially thaw frozen produce when needed. Cleaning and chopping everything at once saves time throughout the week.
Costco has great prices on organic celery and frozen fruits and veggies if you’re looking to save money on produce.
My kids love juicing. We do it every night. I use a Breville, and they push everything down for me. I don’t even wash the veggies every time, just a quick rinse when I remember. Been doing it this way for 20 years.
I juice every four days—one batch of green juice and one batch of citrus juice. I store them in single-serving jars at the back of the fridge. Never had an issue. Adding lemon helps keep it fresh.

I haven’t used lemon before, but I’ll try it. My juice has turned brown in the past when stored too long.
I prep all my ingredients on one day and store them in reusable bags. Then I juice throughout the week. Splitting up prep and juicing has made cleanup so much easier.
I juice daily with three kids. It’s tough, but building a routine helps. The night before, I plan my juice and prep some of the ingredients. That way, in the morning, I just drop everything into the juicer.
If I’m in a rush, I go for my easiest juice: green zucchini, celery, cucumber, green apple, mint, spinach—no chopping required!

Thanks for the recipe! Right now, a set routine isn’t possible because my infant has medical issues, and every day is unpredictable. That’s why I was hoping to make juice last longer. Hopefully, once things settle down, I can create a better schedule!
