What is a good citrus juicer for a Christmas gift?

My dad really loves orange juice, and after our trip to Europe, he keeps talking about how fresh orange juice was everywhere at the markets. He’s been looking for a juicer that doesn’t make the juice foamy, but we haven’t had much luck so far. I’m searching for an electric juicer that’s specifically good for citrus, as that’s all he’d be using it for. We thought about getting a handheld juicer, but I’d like to explore some electric options first. We tried one from a big-box store, but it was awful—so much foam. Any recommendations?

I use a simple juicer regularly since I have two large orange trees, and it doesn’t produce foam. If you’re looking for something basic, it might work well. I’ve tried veggie juicers with spinning blades before, and they create a ton of foam, so I’d avoid those.

I really like a traditional orange press. It’s a single-purpose tool, but it works so well. I remember my college used to hold breakfast events, and the dean would bring his orange press. You just halve the oranges, place them in, and press the lever down. Simple, effective, and easy to clean.

Something like this would work great. I think the dean mentioned he picked his up while traveling in the Middle East, but similar options are available online.

You might want to check out the Fluicer. It’s worth a look if you want something unique.
