I’d ask my relatives back home, but I wanted to ask you guys first.Kitchentalkforum is entertaining, hehe
I think it’s a removable handle for a pan or dish. My grandmother once owned something similar, I believe.
@Gordon Oh, I see. Thank you.
@Bailey Indeed, that was verified.
It appears to be a Corningware casserole handle!
@Eminem The fact that those have handles just kind of confuses me.
@Bailey It fits over one of the Corningwear dish’s handles, and you can lock it in place by turning the additional handle’s heel. I guess in place of oven mitts or potholders.
@Jason I’ll have to log in to witness this in action, I guess.
@Bailey This is the response. I have two of those handles and I adore my vintage Corningware. You may use those Corningware dishes in the oven, microwave, freezer, or stovetop. They’re fantastic.
True. The handle of corningware. I recently saw them being sold for $50 apiece at a flea market by a vendor of vintage dishes.
for dishes made of corningware.
quite helpful when you remove those from the oven.
Perhaps a handle for the grill pan
You may use the accompanying dish on the cooktop or, by removing the handle, place it inside the oven. The handle did not withstand heat.
Corning casserole for stovetop handle. Effective only on the short casserole handles. I believe getting rid of them doubled their market.
