I know this is a really dumb issue, but I’m having trouble getting this stove to operate. I assume that the “L” flashing when I press down on the power button indicates that it is locked, but when I hit the unlock button, all that flashes is the letter “F.” No other buttons appear to function. I also intentionally bought a pan that is Hob-friendly. I have no idea what possibly be going wrong.

Hold one of the other buttons and the minus at the same time.

When you were trying to get it on, did you put a pan on it? Another one I have, but it needs a pan on it to function. Then a F is also displayed.

@Gordon Yes, I placed a pan on it that distinctly said to be compatible with all hobs.

Have you pressed and held the lock button till it opens? Usually a few seconds. The panel is locked, which is why the power button flashes L.

@Gordon Have you checked to see whether the manufacturer is still operating and if customer service or manuals are available?

Someone described similar issues with their CDA hobs, here is the link. Troubleshooting steps from the thread:
- Press and hold the KEY symbol for around 10 seconds, if this wont work press and hold the ON/OFF for around 10 seconds.
- Unplug it and plug it back after 20 minutes. Now touch the key LOCK for approximately 5 seconds until the LED above the key lock key switches off and the hob beeps to confirm the key lock is switched off.
