To use a steamer basket, add a little amount of water to the bottom of a pot, position the basket over the water, unfold the petals of the basket, fill it with the vegetables you want to steam, cover the pot, and turn the heat source on.

A steamer basket is what it is. Add the food you wish to steam, lower the basket into the saucepan with a little water in the bottom.
One of the culinary tools I use the most. The only method to avoid mushy broccoli:)
Put the eggs in the steamer basket, fill the pot with water to about 3/4 of the way up the legs, and boil for six minutes. The eggs will come out perfectly soft boiled.
For the longest time, I mistakenly believed that to be a bread toaster because my dad used it to toast his Vietnamese baguette when I was growing up. I regret to inform you that I was unaware of its usefulness as a vegetable steamer until recently.
At eleven a.m., I always used mine for scones.
I utilize my three to four times a week.
