What is the proper way to operate your refrigerator?

Goods that require precise temperature control, such as milk, should ideally be kept in the refrigerator because the door is usually warmer than the refrigerator itself. All the condiments and soda on my door

@Anne Yes, that is how ours operates. Top of the door is butter. Middle-tier condiments, with those incredibly harmful “fruit” juices at the bottom. occasionally wine as well.

@Bailey I’m the weirdo cottage whore kind that normally likes to store my bread and butter in the cabinet. If not, how do you eat toast?

@Nidal A portion is left outside at room temperature. However, we always have two or more boxes of butter, so the remaining amount is refrigerated.

I get this Amish butter that’s made, like, with a tiny bit of bacon fat. I also reside close to a bakery.

@Nidal Our home is in a remote area. Walmart is our grocery store, so we just grab anything we can find. Still, we have a jar of bacon grease in our kitchen.

Hey, you must be skilled at extending money, though.

@Nidal Definitely not, lol. Thankfully, I haven’t paid rent yet, so I won’t go hungry.

@Anne Specifically, milk should be in the lower rear corner. The temperature there is the most stable.

First, take the eggs out of the door. brittle, disorganized light objects on the sole moving part? CRAZY.

Step 2: Do as you please. Sort items by size instead of by type. The MOST of your items will still work together (drinks and milk are the same height, for example). The same applies to hot sauces and 1-pound jars of condiments (such mayo, PB, etc.).

@Dacosta However, they appear attractive there. What other place could they look good?

whichever suits you the most. No “rules” exist for keeping your refrigerator organized.

@Eminem Please don’t give those to me.

I adore the rules.

@Nidal Serious Eats, in my opinion, offers a solid guide. primarily determined by appropriate temporary needs. The handbook for that and your refrigerator may also contain ideas.

Eggs should be kept in their original carton but kept close to the door for convenience.

@Hudson Indeed, they are.

Right now, I’m all about attempting to make my fridge appear as good as DoorDash commercials in order to cut costs associated with impulsivity. Still, thank you, people. I’m simply curious as to the purpose of the small one on the left.
