Hi there! I wanted to have a vented hood when building a new home because I’ve never had one. When I use the vented hood to cook, will my house smell like food? Is it authentic?
If you install a make-up air system in addition to venting it outside, it won’t.
Recirculating vents and carbon filters don’t function.
Our kitchen was remodeled with a 36" gas stove and grill, thus the vented hood features three lights, two infrared heat lamps for the warming racks mounted to the backsplash, and a 1100 cfm fan. Not even a trace of smoke escapes when the fan is running nonstop.
@Cabby Could you please provide a photo of this setup? or goods purchased online? It sounds wonderful.
@Cabby Many thanks for that! That appears fantastic!
@Dacosta I used an editing application to improve the photo, which is why the colors are a little too vibrant. Although my wife liked the hickory wood, I had been told not to use it when I was a kitchen designer. I started using the grill a few times a week, but it took me some time to do so consistently.
@Cabby I adore how the cabinets’ various color schemes look. I wish I could barbecue inside, but that isn’t an option right now. I’m trying to find solutions for exhaust. In addition, we want to install a vent on the roof.
There’s an obscene layer of grease on the walls of our kitchen. I hope someone like you can stop that.
@Dacosta I get just enough flame to get a little wok hei, and the burner grates can be turned over to suit a round-bottom wok.
Only in the absence of any windows nearby!
